Worried about your finances, seek debt advice now

Struggling under an avalanche in debt is not a very pleasant place to be. Worries about your finances can take over your life, cause sleepless nights and even destroy relationships.

If you don’t seek debt advice, and solve your problems before its too late, then your debts could cause you some very long term difficulties. It could affect your future employment prospects, since certain careers require that you have control of your finances, such as the police force, for example. If you become blacklisted with the major credit reference agencies, then this will affect your ability to borrow money in the future, and may even prevent you from buying a property, or moving house.

Although you may feel like there is no answer to your debt problems, or that maybe things have already gone too far, you are probably wrong. There are debt advice specialists that can analyse you situation, recommend a solution to your debt problems and show you that there is light at the end of the tunnel. If you are struggling with you repayments, now is the time to do something about it.

There are a number of different solutions to consider. Some lenders will provide a debt consolidation loan which can replace all of your smaller debts with one large one, with a lower monthly payment and usually over a longer period of time. Debt advice specialists can provide Debt Management Plans, which are a way to replace all of your unsecured debts like personal loans, store cards and catalogues as well as credit card debt, with a single, affordable monthly payment, without the need to borrow more money.

For larger debt levels, they may recommend an IVA (Individual Voluntary Arrangement), or a Trust Deed if you live in Scotland. These plans work in a similar way to a Debt Management Plan, however they are both formal arrangements, arranged over a fixed period of time, and must be nominated and supervised by a licensed Insolvency Practitioner. There are important differences between the options available, and you should seek advice before you make any decisions.

The important thing is that you speak to an expert, about all of your options, before things get any worse. You do not have to suffer under a dark cloud of debt, when help could be just a phone call away.
