What if I want to stop the arrangement or if I have a complaint?

The reduced payments which have been negotiated on your behalf are subject to all elements of the arrangement which we have negotiated remaining intact. It should therefore be noted that, should your payment arrangements with us be terminated, you would immediately become liable again for the full outstanding balances of all your debts. It is, therefore, obviously to your advantage to stay with the arrangement until your debts are cleared, and this is what most people do. However, if for some reason you should wish to terminate the arrangement, you are free to do so.

If you have a complaint we will always endeavour to resolve any query or dispute internally with minimum inconvenience to you. Chiltern is also a member of the Debt Managers Standards Association (DEMSA). This means we operate to a strict code of conduct and if you have any unresolved complaints about our service you can refer them to DEMSA. They can be contacted at:

DEMSA, West Point, Westland Square, Leeds, LS11 5SS.

You may also contact the Financial Ombudsman Service if you do not feel that the complaint has been resolved to your satisfaction.
