Ashley Cole, husband of X-Factor Judge and Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole, and Chelsea football player has been banned from driving.
Ashley from Godalming in Surrey was caught speeding in November on the A3 in Kingston. He was clocked at 104mph in a 50mph zone driving a Lamborghini by a Police officer with a radar gun.
He has been banned for four months and fined £1,000, despite his claim that he was being chased by a Paparazzi.
Chairwoman of the magistrates Patricia Baskerville said: “We have taken into account Mr Cole’s clean licence – however this was an incident of excessive speed, over twice the speed limit on the road and these were exceptional circumstances which we need to mark.”
A £15 victim surcharge and £300 costs were added by the panel to “reflect his income”.
A request 21 days leeway to pay was greeted with laughter by magistrates, who granted it nonetheless.
Cole is thought to earn a six-figure weekly salary.
The player has immediately launched an appeal against the ban, which will be heard later.

what a load of crap! Anyone else would have been banned! And why does he need 21 days to pay! He should be banned for 2 years and given a steeper fine (to reflect his income of course)
