Sharon Osbourne returns to X Factor, but feud with Dannii Minogue continues

This weekend’s X Factor looks set to be extra exciting, as not only are we at the judges houses stage of the competition, but former judge Sharon Osbourne is set to make her comeback.

Osbourne will be assisting her good friend and former colleague Louis Walsh judge the eight contestants in the over-28s category at the Adare Manor hotel in County Limerick, Ireland – who are all hoping to make it through to the live X Factor finals .

Apparently, Walsh’s part of the judge’s houses part of the show was supposed to be filmed in Las Vegas near to Osbourne’s house in LA, causing a bit of a logistical problem for the 57-year-old as she regularly appears on America’s Got Talent. Nonetheless, Sharon has flown over and is thrilled to be back on the show after a two year absence. She has said:

“I’ve missed The X Factor, the people and the buzz of the whole show. Louis and I are great friends and we phone each other all the time, having a laugh and a gossip.”

Osbourne left the X Factor in 2008 amidst a storm of controversy and rumours that she and new judge Dannii Minogue, 38, just couldn’t work together. Osbourne admits that she asked X Factor bosses for an unrealistic £500,000 bonus on her £1.5 million salary, and quit when they refused.

The three finalists chosen by Walsh and Osbourne in this Saturday’s show will join those chosen by fellow judges Cheryl Cole, Simon Cowell and Dannii Minogue.
