Stewart’s wife, 39-year-old photographer Penny Lancaster, apparently discovered that she was pregnant whilst on a recent holiday in Portofino in Italy. The couple were on holiday to celebrate their third wedding anniversary, although they have been together for more than ten years.

Whilst notorious ladies-man Stewart has six other children from three previousrelationships – including relationships with models Rachel Hunter, Kelly Emberg and Alana Hamilton – he only has one child, 4-year-old Alastair, with Lancaster and has made no secret of wanting more.

Lancaster, who will be 40 next March, recently expressed her desire to have another child, saying: “…we’re still trying and have high hopes. Though once you get over 35 it takes longer.”

In a statement announcing that Penny is three-months pregnant, the couple said:

“We were thrilled and delighted to be able to tell Alastair that he was going to be the big brother to a little baby, expected just before Mummy’s 40th birthday.”

By this calculation, the baby is due In February 2011.

To celebrate the news, Stewart and Lancaster reportedly flew to LA last weekend to tell the rocker’s other children – including Kimberley, 30, Sean, 29, Ruby, 23, and Renee, 18, and Liam, 15 – in person. Stewart’s 46-year-old daughter Sarah Thrubon-Streeter was raised by adoptive parents.
