Robbie Williams marries Ayda Field in his £13m mansion

Robbie Williams allegedly married his Turkish-American girlfriend Ayda Field, in an intimate ceremony on the grounds of his £13m Hollywood mansion.

Best friend Jonathan Wilkes performed his duties as best man, but Take That bandmates Mark Owen, Jason Orange, Gary Barlow and Howard Donald were all unable to attend.

Despite reuniting with this former Take That band members recently, it was revealed that none of them could make it to Robbie William’s last-minute wedding to actress Ayda Field at the weekend, as all had arranged family holidays which couldn’t be cancelled.

Apparently no alcohol was available at the wedding, as Williams famously battled through drug and drink addictions.

Robbie started dating Ayda back in January 2007, and the couple have been pictured together on holiday many times. In November 2009, Robbie proposed to Ayda on Australian radio, but later said it was a joke and denied the engagement.

Ayda dropped out of university, where she was studying law and political science, to be a stand-up comic in Hollywood. She then started acting classes and landed a succession of small roles on TV, including the Channel 4 comedy-drama Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip.

She also appeared in the US daytime soap Days Of Our Lives and was introduced to Williams by mutual friends in May 2006 whilst in LA.

Before dating Ayda, Williams dated a host of women including Rod Stewart’s ex-wife Rachel Hunter, Geri Halliwell and Cameron Diaz.

Unlike many stars who turn their weddings into celebrity-studded affairs, Williams and Field’s wedding was attended only by close friends and family, the details of which have remained a closely guarded secret.

The couple will have a two-week honeymoon before Williams arrives in Britain to promote his latest single, Shame, with Gary Barlow, which is out in October. The new Take That album is released in November.

His first official engagement as a married man will be switching on the Blackpool illuminations on September 3. He said: “Blackpool has so many happy memories for me. I can’t think of a better place to celebrate.”
