In the last ever Celebrity Big Brother series, the “stars” will be shacked up together for weeks in the mansion, which designers have spent months (and thousands of pounds) transforming into something resembling a seedy private members club.

Despite rumours, it’s almost certain that Tiger Woods, Lady GaGa and X Factor Winner Joe McElderry won’t be on the list of celebrities to enter the Big Brother house this year. Their celebrity status is far too current to be on the list.

Amongst the “celebrities” reportedly lined-up to take part are Ronnie Wood’s ex girlfriend Ekaterina Ivanova, close to broke and Baywatch-turned-panto star Pamela Anderson, another star who has suffered with debt problems MC Hammer (he was declared bankrupt after his “You can’t touch this” fame), former boyband member (and star of adult movie with Jordan aka Katie Price) Dane Bowers, and page 3 glamour model Nicola T.

Rumours that Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh would be entering the house have been denied, after a number of statements posted yesterday on social networking site Twitter were revealed as fake.

Also, Boy George and Kerry Katona will not be able to join the other artists in the pimped-up house. Boy George was refused leave by a judge after he tried to alter his curfew conditions, whilst Kerry Katona is believed to have failed a psychological test.

The house decor is supposed to have taken inspiration from Dante’s Inferno, a 14th-century poem in which hell is depicted as nine circles of suffering located within the Earth.

Executive Producer Shirley Jones said: “The famous line from Dante’s Inferno is “Abandon hope all ye who enter here” which has inspired much of what we have done to the house, particularly the entrance which is dark and cavernous with flaming walls.

“When the celebrities arrive in the house on Sunday night they will definitely wonder what is in store for them, it looks incredibly different from previous years.”

She also commented that stars will have little restbite within the mansion, adding: “There are very few areas to go to if someone needs to grab five minutes of peace and quiet.”

The last ever series of Celebrity Big Brother starts this weekend.
