The full list of celebrities competing in this year’s BBC1 Strictly Come Dancing competition has been revealed, ahead of the weekend’s first show.
Unlike in previous years, when the show has been criticised for its Z-list contestants, Strictly Come Dancing 2010 is packed with famous faces that you may actually recognise.
The full line-up is as follows:
• Patsy Kensit, 42, Holby City actress and former Emmerdale star who used to be married to Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher
• Felicity Kendal, 63, actress who famously starred in The Good Life and daytime TV hit Rosemary and Thyme
• Tina O’Brien, 27, Waterloo Road actress most famous for her role as Sarah-Louise Platt in Coronation Street
• Gavin Henson, 28, Wales and British Lions rugby player and former Mr Charlotte Church
• Paul Daniels, 72, magician and national treasure
• Michelle Williams, 30, formerly one third of successful US girl group Destiny’s Child
• Kara Tointon, 27, former Eastenders actress and lingerie model
• Scott Maslen, 39, plays Jack Branning in Eastenders, formerly starred in The Bill
• Jimi Mistry, 37, star of East is East and The Guru
• Ann Widdecombe, 62, tough-talking politician and author
• Pamela Stephenson, 60, sex therapist and psychologist who is married to comedian Billy Connolly
• Peter Shilton, 60, former England goalkeeper
• Goldie, 44, occasional DJ and reality TV star
• Matt Baker, 33, presenter of Countryfile and most famously, Blue Peter
The first episode of Strictly Come Dancing will air this Saturday 11th September on BBC1, with Tess Daly and Bruce Forsyth returning as hosts for another series.
