Superstar golfer and serial philanderer Tiger Woods has reluctantly started treatment at a clinic for sex addiction in a last-ditch attempt to save his failing marriage to Elin Nordegren.

On December 30 2009, Tiger is alleged to have checked into the Pine Grove Behavioural Health and Addiction Services clinic, in the small town of Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
The billionaire lifestyle that his multi-major winning success has brought him is a far cry from the drab concrete outbuilding of a clinic for sex addicts, but golfer Tiger Woods has started treatment to prevent divorce.
Elin Nordegren, 30 The Swedish ex-model, is mother to Tiger’s two young children, and she stopped wearing her wedding ring after their infamous bust-up in late November last year. This approach by Tiger, to seek help, is to try and avoid the couple from separating on more permanent basis.
According to a report in an American news magazine, Tiger has been on the centre’s $60,000 (£37,000) six-week Gentle Path programme since the end of last year.
It is claimed that Elin made Tiger agree to stop cheating and enter sexual rehab, threatening the golfer that she would take the couple’s children – Sam Alexis, 2, and 6-month-old son Charlie Axel – back to Sweden. He accepted in exchange for Elin not seeking immediate divorce proceedings.
The couple’s troubles became public following a blazing Thanksgiving night row, which culminated in Tiger evading their Orlando mansion bare-footed, before crashing his car into a tree at the bottom of their drive and being taken to hospital.
I think that Elin Nordegren will never agree to a reconciliation with Tiger Woods. Her only interaction with Tiger will be regarding their children. Elin demanded Tiger to get professional help for the benefit of the children. Rehab is only effective when a person is truly committed to change. Since Tiger seems to have entered rehab reluctantly his prognosis does not look good at all.
